  • Arranged three main workshops on “Organization and Management of Teachers’ Associations”, “Organization and Management of Teachers of Senior High Schools and Occupational Schools”, and “Reform on Curricula and Teaching Materials”.
  • Launched the National Teachers periodical newsletter aiming to enhance the communication with member teachers
  • Frequently updated news on the website and circulated e-newspaper on an issue-oriented basis.
  • Released education reform opinions in reader’s column of major newspapers.
  • Participated in the selection of high school and vocational school principals.
  • Called for the step-down of unqualified Education Minister, Mr. Ovid JL Tzeng.
  • Attended the private technological and vocational education reform meetings.
  • Set up the 928 Movement Fund.
  • Held teachers’ rallies, the “Solidarity 928” and “Action 928: Setting Out for Our Children”, mobilizing over 100,000 teachers taking to the street on Teachers’ Day to voice their demands, which were:
  • Giving children happiness and hope; 2. Alleviating the education load for parents; 3. Listening to the voices of primary-school teachers; 4. Cleaning up the mess resulted from the education reform policies in the past ten years; and 5. Putting into action the President’s electoral campaign promises on education. 
  • And a declaration was made to call on government’s concern over human and children rights issues.
  • Published 80,000 copies of the book “Solidarity 928: Take a Walk with Teachers” and DVD the “Solidarity 928 Action: Teachers not in classroom” to share with member teachers and civil society.
  • Held appeal counseling meeting.
  • Organized seven regional and 25 national sessions of “Care about Organization and Education” discussions to initiate in-depth dialogue with primary school teachers.
  • Published the NTA Newsletter and increased the print to 200,000 copies starting in September.
  • Held four sessions of “Prep meeting for regional teachers’ association educational meeting” nationwide respectively to engage in dialogue with primary school teachers.
  • Held a series of activities for private schools with the theme of “cleaning up school board” and rendered assistance in fraud cases where the interests of school teachers and students were harmed.
